I help musicians and performers who are brilliant but blocked. Maybe your confidence is shot, maybe you've lost your direction, maybe you just need someone who actually understands this world from the inside – including how a neurodivergent brain experiences it.
or maybe you just need someone to show you the craft.
You've got something. You just can't get it out – or you can't hear it clearly anymore.
The talent is there. The confidence isn't. Or it was, and something knocked it.
You've been in this industry a while and somewhere along the way lost the thread.
Film scoring, production, arrangement, songwriting – you want to learn it from someone who's done it.
You can see the problem clearly. You just can't get out of your own way.
Hyperfocus, shutdown, all-or-nothing thinking – Rich gets it from the inside. No need to explain yourself.
Singer, composer, producer, performer, writer – if you're creative and stuck, this is for you.
"I began working with Rich last year because I wanted to rebuild my confidence with playing live and writing music. After such a long break, I honestly didn't know who to turn to and had almost given up on the idea of performing again. From the start, Rich was incredibly humble, supportive and thoughtful with his feedback. He has a real talent for making you feel completely at ease, while encouraging you in such a positive and constructive way. In a surprisingly short space of time, Rich helped me rediscover my confidence, drive and ambition – and ultimately gave me the courage to get back on stage again."

"You've really inspired me in all the right ways. I sometimes feel intimidated by my own ideas – this helped me focus."
JM, client
"Since starting lessons with Richard, my compositional skills have improved dramatically. He has shown me how to approach music with a composer's mindset and helped me develop a deeper understanding of the key skills and elements that make a great track. On top of that, he's a great guy and really easy to get along with, which makes the lessons even more enjoyable!"
Harry B, composer
"Richard is one of the most supportive and insightful people I know in the music world. He combines real industry experience with a genuine desire to help younger musicians grow and find their path. What makes him such a great mentor is how approachable and encouraging he is — he listens carefully, understands the hurdles artists face, and offers clear, practical guidance that truly helps. Anyone looking to build confidence, develop their craft, and navigate the music industry would benefit hugely from working with him."
Denis B, composer
"Rich has scored many projects for me. His music has elevated every film I've directed, always getting to the heart of it, always working hand in hand with the storytelling. His attention to detail is phenomenal."
Will Yapp, Director – Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing, Clarkson's Farm
"Richard is the perfect composer choice for any project because he is an instinctive listener who loves the opportunity to collaborate – an idiosyncratic perfectionist whose work has elevated our productions."
Barry Ryan, Creative Director – Free@Last TV (Agatha Raisin, Sky TV)
I've spent over thirty years in this industry – on stage, in the studio, directing, composing, performing. I don't have all the answers. But I know the right questions – and I know the craft. You don't have to figure it out alone.
I see the whole picture – connecting the dots of a career, spotting where one thing can serve another, and helping you see possibilities you can't see from where you're standing.
Film & TV scoring topics include: writing to picture, cue structure, orchestration, hybrid scoring, DAW workflow for film, temp track translation, working with directors, and getting your first credits.

Rich performs and speaks openly about neurodivergence, identity, and creative life. His music is personal, not commercial – and people respond to it.
